Northern Plains Dance Presents Cinderella

Northern Plains Dance will present Cinderella at the Belle Mehus City Auditorium in Bismarck Saturday, May 19 at 2:30 and 7:30 and Sunday, May 20 at 2:30. A great show for families, Cinderella features more than 70 performers from the Northern Plains Dance Academy. Cinderella is certain to please all ages with elaborate costumes and original choreography.

Cinderella features a musical score by Sergei Prokofiev, composed between 1940 and 1944. Everyone’s favorite rags-to-riches story, Cinderella delights audiences with the beauty and majesty of “once upon a time,” wrapped in the promise of “happily ever after,” and generously sprinkled with a wonderful dose of humor. Lead roles will be danced by Northern Plains Dance Academy Dancers, Breanna Manley, Sam Baglivio, Lauren Theurer, Hannah Houle, Annie Fischer, Tabatha Lambrecht, and Maddy Peterson. In conjunction with Cinderella, Northern Plains Dance will be hosting “Bibbity Bobbity Brunch” in the Conductor’s Room of the Belle Mehus at 12:30pm, prior to both matinee performances. Children and adults will enjoy story time with the Fairy Godmother, a backstage tour, and treats. Tickets to Bibbity Bobbity Brunch are $12.00 per person and are sold separately from the tickets for Cinderella. Be sure to get your tickets early, as space is limited and this event sells out quickly.

Reserved ticket prices for Cinderella range in price from $8-$23 and are available at Northern Plains Dance at 1125 E Main Ave in Bismarck or by calling 530-0986. General Admission tickets are available at all Bismarck/Mandan Dan’s Supermarkets for $10.00 in advance or $12.00 at the door of the Belle Mehus Auditorium on the day of the performance.

Cinderella is the third and final production of Northern Plains Dance’s 2011-2012 season.
