Urban Harvest was founded in 2005 by four women who wanted Bismarck to have its own open-air market like most big cities do. Since Bismarck is one of the only capital cities without a green space or public square, they had to block off a street downtown to make it happen. Community volunteers have worked hard to make this special event possible each year.
