The premiere of a new documentary film, The People of the Upper Missouri: The Mandans, will be shown on Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m. at the National Energy Center of Excellence (Room 304) at Bismarck State College.

Bismarck, N.D. — The League of Women Voters of Bismarck-Mandan and Dakota Media Access are holding forums for candidates running for election on June 12. The first of the upcoming forums for Mandan School Board candidates will be held Thursday, May 10 in the Bosh Froehlich Room in Mandan City Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The forums will be carried LIVE on Government Access, channel 2 and online at www.freetv.org. The forums will be replayed and available for online viewing up until the June 12 election.
Questions for Mandan School Board candidates may be submitted by audience members in attendance or by viewers watching from home. Viewers may call in questions during the forum to 701-667-3237.

Bismarck Downtown Artist Co-op will host a poetry reading at 7 p.m. on Wed. March 28.
Erin Keane will be reading, as well as local poet Adam Jenkins. The University of Mary’s Language and Literature Department and the North Dakota Humanities Council are sponsoring the reading. There will also be artwork on display created by BDAC artists inspired from Erin Keane’s latest collection of poetry, Death Defying Acts. Bismarck Downtown Artist Co-op is located at 222 N 4th St.
