Don’t Forget to Vote on June 12

June 12, 2012 is the date of North Dakota’s primary election. Dur­ing the primary, voters will have the opportunity to vote for candidates for the United State Senate, the US House of Representatives, the Governor and Lt. Governor, the State Auditor, State Treasurer, Insurance Commissioner and the Public Service Commissioner all on party ballots. In addition, voters who live in even-number Legislative Districts will have the opportunity to vote for their State Senator and two State Representatives. All party ballots must be cast for one party only. During the primary elec­tion, there is not the opportunity to move from one party to another on dif­ferent races, like there is during the fall election.

League of Women Voters to Hold Mandan School Board Candidate Forum

Bismarck, N.D. — The League of Women Voters of Bismarck-Mandan and Dakota Media Access are holding forums for candidates running for election on June 12.  The first of the upcoming forums for Mandan School Board candidates will be held Thursday, May 10 in the Bosh Froehlich Room in Mandan City Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.

The forums will be carried LIVE on Government Access, channel 2 and online at www.freetv.org.  The forums will be replayed and available for online viewing up until the June 12 election.

Questions for Mandan School Board candidates may be submitted by audience members in attendance or by viewers watching from home.  Viewers may call in questions during the forum to 701-667-3237.
