Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Church to include Summer Services

Summer time no longer means missing the inspiration and connectedness from Sunday mornings at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Church.

Summer programs will be a little more informal and will include time for sharing, readings, music, the opportunity to come together for reflection and connection, and of course coffee and tea. Activities for children will be provided.

Many Sunday mornings will include time to reflect on a short piece out of From Zip Lines to Hosaphones: Dispatches from the Search for Truth and Meaning by Jane Ranney Rzepka. This delightful book has short essays “reminding us of the depth and breadth of seeing life through UU eyes.” The author has an amazing ability to make every day events illustrate how life is full of possibilities.

Join them each Sunday morning at 10:30 at the Bismarck Mandan UU Fellowship & Church at 818 E. Divide Ave. in Bismarck. Call the church if you would like more information or have questions, 701-223-6788.

By Sue B. Balcom

Nobody said farming North Dakota would be easy. In a land of little or no rainfall and very few trees to block the wind, early homesteaders found a friend in The Northern Great Plains Research Lab south of Mandan. Its research and trials have contributed greatly to the success of crops and livestock, not to mention vegetables and fruits, in the semi-arid climate west of the Missouri River.
